A year ago, we wouldn't have dreamed that Britney Spears would be allowed--nay, welcomed--around the children of strangers.  And, we certainly wouldn't have seen her as coming into such close proximity of, or actually stepping foot in, a facility of learning.

But guess what?  It's not a year ago.

Today, Britney Spears excited some lucky Bronx-based youngsters by dropping by Junior High School 142 to sign autographs.

Last night, Paris Hilton looked better in this dress and hit up a screening party for her new reality show Paris Hilton is My New BFF.  Read:  We pity someone.

There to show their support?  Boyfriend Benji Madden, parents Kathy and Rick, and brother Conrad.

Uh, does it look like Paris got her lips done?  They're looking strikingly more plump.  Maybe she's just perfected her pout's pose...

It seems the High School Musical superfan virus is an international phenomenon.

Last night, the stars of High School Musical 3 (Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, and Corbin Bleu) participated in a whirlwind of promotional duties in Paris, France.  And, wherever they went, fandamonium followed.

First, the group hit up the Virgin Megastore to sign autographs.  Then, it was off to the Grand Rex for the film's premiere.  Finally, they wrapped up the night with dinner at the trendy L'Avenue restaurant.

Now, we gotta say:  Day-um!  Vanessa Hudgens looks HOT.  We eat our words.

The Brit is back... Or at least she is trying.

We spotted Britney Spears all over Manhattan on Tuesday acting... (wait for it)... professional.

We spotted the pop princess looking cute, chipper and dressed in black on her way to the Broadway show In The Heights. When is the last time we have seen bubbly Brit? This side of her is rather refreshing.

We also saw her dressed more casually in a red striped shirt on her way to KROC radio station in Midtown Manhattan.

Go Britney!!!

While Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel seem to be steadily paving their own path to the altar, Jessica's former 7th Heaven co-star Beverley Mitchell is poised to beat them there.  Like, really soon.

Before J&J headed out of Rome, they met up with Beverley and her fiance Michael Cameron.  Beverley and Michael are planning to get married in Italy some time in October.  Well... considering it's October... and considering they're in Italy...

We spotted Justin and Jessica checking out this awesome church on the Amalfi Coast.  Are they getting a preview of the setting for Beverley's wedding, or are they looking for a space to hold their own?

The pair took a dip in the warm waters, skimmed a few stones and even munched on popsicles before laying down to work on their tans.

At one point the ladies cracked open a game of Scrabble while they puffed on their cigarettes.

We spotted a trigger-happy Nighy along with costar Emily Blunt on the set of the action/comedy Wild Target on Tuesday in London.

Emily was smart to steer clear of shooting range.
